Access to mental health services

Our audit assessed whether SA Health has effective processes in place for the provision of access to mental health services, including assessing the actions taken to address COVID-19 impacts on mental health.

We concluded that there are key planning, monitoring and reporting processes for the provision of access to mental health services that were not operating effectively. Because of these gaps, SA Health is not able to demonstrate how well it is performing in providing the public with access to the right mental health services at the right time.
