Functional responsibility

The Libraries Board of South Australia (the Board) is established pursuant to the Libraries Act 1982 and is responsible for the administration of the State Library of South Australia and Public Library Services. For details of the Board’s functions refer note 1 of the financial report.

Significant events and transactions

From 1 July 2014 the functions of Arts SA (including those impacting the Board) transferred from the Department of the Premier and Cabinet to the Department of State Development.
